Maps of Confinement

In this collection of short stories and Chronicles, you will find the fruit of a pioneering artistic project: Mapas do Confinamento.

As is often the case throughout history, the best ideas emerge in moments of crisis. It was at the height of the pandemic that Portuguese writers Gabriela Ruivo Trindade and Nuno Gomes Garcia invited more than a hundred artists from all Portuguese-speaking countries to draw together the mapping of the pandemic. A collaboration that aims to record, for future memory, how this pandemic affected them as human beings and artists, but also the scars left in the social fabric of the countries where they live: Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Portugal, and many other territories. where these artists reside, such as France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium.

This book brings together maps of emotional and cultural territories in the unique voices of established writers and new voices of great quality; maps that will help consolidate the various literary voices of our common language.
